These knee pads are good for the tactical “look,” but are not great in terms of functionality. They are secured by two Velcro straps that seem to be fitted for individuals with large legs. I’m 5’9″, 150 lbs, and the straps are no where near close to fitting me, with maybe 5 inches of overlap. The “one size fits all” thing is a joke.
There is very little padding behind the pad, but it does seem to help with comfort a little when kneeling. Be careful with quick knee drops or any impact maneuvers though, as the thin padding combined with the cheap plastic shell provide little protection or shock absorption.
