As ‘Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey’ nears, Pat Healy stumps for fight-night bonuses

Pat Healy is happy being a Strikeforce fighter and said he now has the financial freedom to travel and train in different locations.
But there’s one little incentive that would be nice to have in the promotion: bonuses.
“Strikeforce guys have been asking about it since the (fighters) summit,” Healy told MMAjunkie.com Radio. “I know it’s a hot topic on a lot of people’s minds. I really could see them doing it this fight.”

Strikeforce CEO would like to see “Fight Night” bonuses
In the past, Strikeforce fighters had their win bonus, the roar of the
crowd and a smiling promoter to look forward to if they gave their all
inside the cage.
But that promoter would like to give them a little extra incentive – like extra cash.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said he’s lobbying for “Fight Night” bonuses
at future events, and the promotion’s new owner, Zuffa, LLC, could make
that happen.
UFC 128 bonuses: Schaub, Koch, Barboza and Njokuani each earn $70K
NEWARK, N.J. – Brendan Scahub, Erik Koch, Edson Barboza and Anthony
Njokuani each earned $ 75,000 “Fight Night” bonuses for their
performances
at Saturday’s UFC 128 event.
With not one fight ending via submission, both Schaub and Koch were
awarded “Knockout of the Night” bonuses, and Barboza and Njokuani
combined for the “Fight of
the Night” honors.

UFC 126 bonuses: Silva, Jones, Cerrone and Kelly each earn $75K awards
LAS VEGAS – Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, Donald Cerrone and Paul Kelly each earned $ 75,000 “Fight Night” bonuses for their performances
at Saturday’s UFC 126 event.
Silva earned the night’s “Knockout of the Night” award, Jones got the “Submission of the Night” bonus, and Cerrone and Kelly each earned “Fight of the Night” honors.

UFC Fight Night 23 bonuses: Guillard, Edwards and McKenzie earn $30K awards
KILLEEN, Texas – Melvin Guillard, Yves Edwards and Cody McKenzie each earned $ 30,000 “Fight Night” bonuses for their performances
at Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fight for the Troops 2″ event.
Guillard earned the night’s “Knockout of the Night” award, Edwards got the
“Submission of the Night” bonus and a “Fight of the Night” award, which also went to opponent McKenzie.
MMAjunkie.com confirmed the bonus winners and award amounts with UFC president Dana White.
