Brazilian lightweight Yuri “Marajo” Alcantara has inked a five-fight deal with Zuffa and will debut against Ricardo Lamas on Dec. 16 at WEC 53, according to his manager, Wallid Ismail.

(PRWEB) October 18, 2010 The French players have been decided: Nicolas Forestier, a 32-year-old office employee will participate in the men’s section with 2007 World Championship trios silver medallist Marilyn Planchard trying to become the first French woman ever to win the title.
We also have our second father and daughter team with Javed Ashrif and his daughter Faieza Zahida representing Pakistan.
There could even be a record entry as 97 countries have registered. Anne-Marie Board, QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup manager, said: “I’m sure the attractions of the French Riviera and the wonderful arrangements made by our hosts and the Club Lou Pigno have played a part in encouraging participation. As always I am looking forward to meeting all the players and to what I know will be an excellent event in Toulon.”
This year fans around the work will be able to follow the event through live streaming, available through three different media outlets:

The finals will take place on Saturday 23rd October with the top three women starting at 10.00 am and the men at 2.00pm. Both finals will be carried live on Var TV.

While Bryan Baker came up short in Bellator Fighting Championship’s
season-two middleweight tournament, he returned to the winner’s circle
with a decision win over UFC veteran and MMA ironman Jeremy Horn.
The middleweight contest served as the featured bout in Thursday’s
Bellator 30 event, which took place at Fourth Street Live! in
Louisville, Ky., and aired on FOX Sports Net.
The inspirational Baker, whose battle with leukemia has been
well-publicized in recent weeks, battled back from some early trouble in
his bout with Horn, as well, before taking control of the contest for
the final two frames.
