Piranha
MMA Grappling Piranha Gear Board Shorts – All Blank, Medium
Black fight shorts, ideal for submission wrestling, MMA and even casual wear. Designed and cut for maximum comfort, these shorts feature split seams to allow total freedom of movement when grappling and kicking. Velcro system and inside tie for secure fit. These have nothing on the outside of the shorts. The are completely blank on the outside (they do have a Piranha Gear logo on the inside label). These shorts are made of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. They are not “slick” (like 100% poly) nor “sticky” like a microfiber would be. The waist is NOT elastic, so be sure to measure your actual waist size before ordering. These are a looser or “baggy” cut, so you shouldn’t need to get a larger size for any reason. If anything, you’d want to go with a smaller size if you want them to fit more snug.

Piranha Gear Leather head guard w/ chin and cheek padding, Small
Genuine, top grade black leather with high density foam padding for extra protection. This is the kind of headguard you wear because you want protection from blows to the head (as opposed to, say, hitting your head on the ground after you pass out). It also has an adjustable top and a wide leather / velcro closing strap with on the back of the head. As with all headguards, if you’re between sizes, we always recommend you go UP in size. Headgear that’s too small can be very uncomfortable. These are top-of-the-line Piranha Gear head guards. Yes, these ARE the same ones that are normally . On the outside, these are very similar to another style we carry, but these have thicker stitching, slightly denser foam and heavy adjustment straps. They were designed specifically for people that are working out every day and want something serious for protection.

Black MMA Grappling Piranha Gear Board Shorts (Flex-Panel) Blank, Medium
Black fight shorts, ideal for submission wrestling and MMA. With a Spandex/Lycra flex panel running through the inside of the legs and groin, they stretch easily. These shorts are SUPER comfortable. With the stretch panel, they don’t need to be as “baggy” to allow the same freedom of movement found in other fight shorts (though they are a bit more baggy than “everyday” board shorts on purpose). They also have an internal drawstring, velcro closure on the front/fly and an elastic waistband. As with all of our shorts, they are not heavy material common to some swim suits and board shorts, but a light weight material for maximum comfort and flexibility. Made with fighting and working out in mind, everything about them was done with their primary purpose in mind. These shorts are made of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. They are not “slick” (like 100% poly) nor “sticky” like a microfiber would be. These shorts are “blank” on the outside – no logo or embroidery.

Piranha Gear Grappling Shin Instep Pads, Large
- High quality leather over high density foam padding
- Wrap-around neoprene to hold pad in place (not straps)
- Designed with grappling in mind
- Serious, professional gear for long and heavy workouts
Product Description
These are top-of-the-line leather and neoprene grappling shin instep pads. Used for grappling, MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing. They are NOT intended for beginners or casual students. They are serious gear if you don’t want to mess with the cheap stuff and want something that’s going to hold up to STRENEOUS workouts.
There is a key difference between these pads and others: no straps on the back of your leg.
They have a high quality leather front with extremely high density foam padding. That’s on top of a fully enclosed neoprene “sock” for your calf and an extra elastic strap under your instep (so they don’t ride up your leg). Not super easy to get on and off, but very comfortable when you’re using them.
Because the neoprene encloses your entire calf, they don’t slip around when your fighting takes you to the ground. However, with no leg straps, nothing is cutting into the back of your calf. A VERY welcome change from the pads with straps.
Also, because the padding on the front is so dense, these are VERY popular with anyone doing Muay Thai or kick boxing. For most other “stand-up” arts (where you rarely go to the ground for any length of time), these are overkill and, honestly, you can find cheaper pads that would work just as well.
These have a “traditional” Muay Thai lace/cord tie around the top of the calf. Used to help keep the pads secure – though we find the laces aren’t really needed. You can obviously keep them tucked in (or cut them off like we do for grappling).
If you’re looking at pair of pads (whether you get them from us or not) make sure you can see the back of the pads. If they don’t tell you different, the pads are using straps to hold the shin pad to your leg and they are NOT the same thing.
These are truly some of the finest pads on the market and, if you’re a serious martial artist, they are worth every penny.
