The upcoming UFC on FOX 1 card, ProElite’s sophomore effort, the recently announced Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz title fight and B.J. Penn’s uncertain future are all topics in this week’s edition of The Sunday Junkie.
But this weekend’s under-the-radar UFC 138 event also made an impact in our weekly reader-feedback feature.
This week’s winner, New York’s Brett “brettiexedge” Falcetti, weighs in one of the show’s more controversial topics: Chris Leben’s clearance to continue after admitting he had trouble seeing.

The three biggest newsmakers of this past weekend’s UFC 136 event and
surrounding festivities are still weighing heavy on the minds of MMA
fans, and many submission to this week’s edition of “The Sunday Junkie”
focused on some aspects of these competitors’ fighting relationship.
But this week’s winner of our weekly reader-feedback feature,
Canada’s Jordan Grenke, has no interest in seeing Silva face Sonnen for a
second time. In fact, he doesn’t want Silva to face anybody for a
second time.

The Sunday Junkie: Oct. 9 edition
Whether it was the special prize (an autographed copy of “UFC Encyclopedia”) or the timing (the day after a spectacular UFC 136 event), this week’s edition of The Sunday Junkie received an avalanche of entries.
In our weekly reader-feedback feature, there was no shortage of potential topics.
This week’s winner is South Carolina reader “CmrnNxn,” who thinks UFC 136′s fight-night bonuses are proof they’ve been going to the wrong fighters.

The Sunday Junkie: Sept. 11 edition
While the UFC was on hiatus this week, that certainly didn’t stop the
promotion from making big news with several massive announcements,
including an unexpected shuffling of UFC 137′s blockbuster lineup.
And while Strikeforce’s grand prix rolled on and Bellator Fighting Championships and BAMMA each conducted well-received events this weekend, it was Nick Diaz’s removal from a UFC title shot that continued to garner the most attention.
Some argue the move was pre-meditated. Others say it was simply a
marketing move. But South Carolina’s Rob Yaeger believes the move was necessary and an example of why Diaz isn’t ready
to be a UFC champion.

The Sunday Junkie: Aug. 21 edition
In today’s edition of The Sunday Junkie, a monumental week for MMA culminated in a variety of submissions related to the UFC’s new deal with FOX and FX.
In our weekly reader-feedback feature, fans discuss all aspects of the deal, including the future of the UFC, the role of early MMA fans, and some potential concerns about the seven-year deal.
New Jersey reader Scott “Steeverdust” Steeve, whose submission also topped entries about Bellator 48 and Chris Lytle, submitted a winning entry that ponders if the deal is really the right move for MMA fans.
