Boxing is going back to business on November 13, 2010 as present WBO Welterweight World Champion and top rated pound-for-pound greatest boxer in the world Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao takes on former World Boxing Association Welterweight Champion, former International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization Welterweight champion Antonio Margarito at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The match, called as “Pacquiao vs Margarito World Super Welterweight Championship”, will be for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) title Junior Midleweight title with a catch weight of 151 pounds.

The boxing event marks off Pacquiao’s second world championship headlining visit at the Cowboys Stadium. The seven-division world champion expertly defended his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title via a dominant unanimous decision over former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion Joshua Clottey on March 13.

The Filipino boxer has additionally won nine world titles in seven different weight divisions, the very first ever in boxing record. He is also the first boxer ever to earn the lineal championship in four different weight classes. He was dubbed “Fighter of the Decade” for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) as well as a three-time BWAA and the Ring “Fighter of the Year” in 2006, 2008 and 2009.

Should Pacquiao defeat Margarito, he will become the first boxer to win eight world titles in eight divisions.

His coach, Javier Capetillo, however, admitted to making ” a big mistake” by placing the wrong inserts into Margarito’s hand wraps. The commission determined unanimously to retract Margarito and Capetillo’s licenses for a minimum of one year.

Just before this slated boxing event, negotiatons for the Pacquiao vs Mayweather megafight were unsuccessful yet again, causing founder and Ceo of Top Rank Bob Arum to move forward to the subsequent opponent and select the tainted Mexican to battle with the Filipino pride.

The Pacquiao vs Margarito World Super Welterweight Championship event is promoted by Top Rank, in association with Cowboys Stadium and Mp Promotions and will be produced and distributed live on Hbo Pay-Per-View on November 13, 2010. The Pacquiao vs Margarito fight starts 9:00PM ET/6:00PM PT.
