Known for its fervent support of MMA fighters and the sport in general, Serious Pimp is sponsoring four of the 12 fights listed on the card of Saturday’s STRIKEFORCE mixed martial arts (MMA) event. Airing Saturday, January 30 live on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/PT), the event will be held at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.

“This fight card pits some of the best, boldest and baddest fighters against up-and-comings and even the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker,” said Damian Kutzner, Serious Pimp CEO. “Fans are in for exciting, action-packed bouts and Serious Pimp is proud, as always, to show our support of the fighters.”

Known as the best female MMA fighter and the 145-Pound Strikeforce Female Champion Mrs. Cris “Cyborg” Santos is a Muay Thai Specialist with brutal punching power and submission skills.

Taking on NFL and NCAA football legend Herschel Walker, Greg Nagy is prepared to teach the MMA rookie all about the cage … and the mat.

“Herschel Walker has a better chance of being selected as a 1st round draft pick for the NFL this year than he does of remaining standing at the end of the match,” said Nagy. “When it’s over I’ll meet the press for a victory interview in my Serious Pimp sunglasses!”

Nick Diaz takes on Strikeforce newcomer and current DREAM champion Marius Zaromskis for the Strikeforce welterweight championship in the main event.

“I’m happy to be representing the U.S. in such a big fight and will be looking to win by head kick,” said Diaz.

“Win or lose, Serious Pimp respects the fight and all the fighters who enter the cage,” said Kutzner. “Both Zaromskis and Diaz are top notch fighters. Serious Pimp sponsored Zaromiskis in his last three fights and stands behind Diaz in this fight. Regardless of the outcome, the fans are in for a knock-out experience.”

Sims bout against Bobby Lashley is also on the main card.

“Cyborg, Nagy, Diaz and Sims stand out from the crowd,” says Kutzner. “Just like the Serious Pimp sunglasses they’ll be wearing.”
